CASE ARENA / PUBLIC ARGUMENT

Human review is due process, not anti-automation

Automated detection can triage volume, but takedown is a high-impact decision. A false positive can erase income, audience access, and momentum; an appeal after weeks may not repair that harm. Platforms should flag, preserve evidence, explain the match, and provide prompt human review before removal except for clearly unlawful or urgent material. Speed matters, but so does a meaningful appeal. What turnaround time would be realistic without making review performative?
